Improving life conditions is not only about enhancing the welfare and the economy. It also means investing in human capital. This is why SOARising starts from where human capital is nested: communities.
SOARising is a community-centered platform that helps people to increase awareness of how they can contribute to community projects. The mission is to re-think the future of Afrika and change it through businesses, investments, and projects. The ambition: rebuilding the black economy and the black community in the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world.
Some examples of the projects SOARising is currently supporting through donations:
House of Wells: this project takes place in South Africa. It targets children from zero to 11 and young people up to 25 years old. The core aim is to offer chances of education in order to improve physical health, mental health, and well being. With the money raised through the platform, we intend to do what we have done for 12 years by giving every House of Wells child a food hamper for the Christmas season. For most of these children, this will be the only gift they receive a Christmas. But of course, House of Wells has a bigger impact than this: the project's motto is “restore hope, release potential”. One way to release human potential is by creating schools and, with them, chances for education. It is also about making children understand they can achieve better living conditions through education for themselves and their communities and, ultimately, make them aware of their own potential.
Education’s also the topic of another project: Home of God's Grace Montessori School. This project targets Nigerian children from 0 to 11 and aims at improving access to training and education. Home of God’s Grace helps orphans and vulnerable children by getting them educated in a conducive environment. The money raised by SOARising will be used to furnish the classrooms adequately so that more children can access education.
Work 4 a living is being implemented in Kenya and helps people living in poverty to access training and get a job.
Shammah Children’s Home’s goal Is to raise funds to buy a 10,000 litres tank and a tank stand. The communities targeted by this project have been struggling with a water crisis for years. Piped water run by the City Council only comes once or twice per month. The relatively modest amount of $3,000 could ensure clean water to all children of such communities.
SOARising believes in a form of aid that produces investments rather than a short-term fix. Being part of this is very simple. You can donate directly through our website (the transaction will be securely processed via PayPal) or through our app. There’s no suggested amount, you can freely choose how much to give. Even the smallest donation can make a difference for these communities.
